We did go to the maple festival last weekend, which was great. We went on Sunday, the day it was supposed to be chilly and rainy but it turned out gorgeous. We had a yummy breakfast...
(the bear is "traveling teddy" from my niece's kindergarten class...he came with us as an "adventure"!)
What is better than blueberry pancakes, real maple syrup, baked ham and eggs, I ask you? I can't imagine.
After a wagon ride through the sugar bush, we checked out how they boil the sap into syrup (and of course had to sample some more). A few of these bottles came home with us...
We've had a few contractors come over to check out our walkway and porch....more are scheduled too...it'll be interesting to see what the price range is. I guess you get what you pay for, right?
I will hopefully have some crafty stuff to post next time! Hope you all are doing well!

I am glad you had some fun--even if you didn't take me with you!!! the breakfast sounds sooo yummy!!!! Life is there for us--so we can't always do our "crafty" things--but life does count and it is fun to read about others life and work and adventures--so thanks for sharing--I enjoyed reading about it!!

We actually have our sugar maple trees tapped on our property. A local sugar house taps them and collects the sap to make syrup. I personally love the fake stuff but my husband loves the real. Sounds like you had a great time. One of these days I would like to go to Vermont to see a sugar house in action.
